The Way Forward
The 2022 Taoyuan Art x Technology Festival is themed "The Way Forward," announcing the crossover between technology and art and showcasing the creative energy of tech art both domestically and internationally. This year marks the first time the festival is co-hosted with the Ministry of Culture, bringing together numerous tech art creative teams. During the preparation phase, the organizers visited various industries across different fields, and through understanding and enthusiastic support from these industries, they were able to jointly complete the related exhibition activities. Looking towards the future, the path of comprehensive development in technology, art, industry, and policy is one that cannot be halted.
This year's Festival responds to the global trends in the post-pandemic era, such as "digitalization," "decentralization," and "emphasis on sustainable development." It combines outdoor immersive audio-visual experimental spaces to showcase 5G streaming immersive audio-visual works, exploring important topics like edge computing, circular economy, NFTs, the metaverse, and digital discourse power. Through tech art exhibitions, performances, expert lectures, and workshops, the festival is designed to offer a brand-new audio-visual and immersive experience, inviting the public to participate and experience the future life sparked by the crossover of technology and art.

Autumn Glitter, Pond Water, Dancing down the memory lane
時間:2022.09.09-10.09(Postponed and combined with The 2022 Taoyuan Art x Technology Festival due to the pandemic)
The 2021 Taoyuan Art x Technology Festival was curated under the theme "Autumn Glitter, Pond Water, Dancing down the memory lane." The event encompassed two main aspects: performances and exhibitions. The tech art performances explored the existence and creativity of women throughout their lives by translating women's stories from texts. The tech art installations showcased local life network systems, inviting the public to engage in the practice of public life through co-creation workshops, mobile installations, and light and shadow displays.
Through a contextually rich exhibition and performance plan, the festival evolved interdisciplinary performing arts into a "total art" where the boundaries between different art forms disappeared. Technology served as a tool, stories provided content, and performance and visual arts acted as mediums. Through collaborative strategies between art and technology, the festival combined visuals, sound, movement, and stage design, featuring interdisciplinary collaboration among artists and co-creation with the public to deliver performances with narrative context and the unique characteristics of total art.
